     We are very sorry to announce the passing away of Manuel        
He was the founder of Folk Art woodcarving in Oaxaca.
       His woodcarving became one of the great art forms        
     in all of Mexico. Manuel will be missed by us all.      
     June 9, 1919 - March 4, 2005
